Made up of sea caverns on the southern coast of Malta, the Blue Grotto caverns are best visited in the morning. Every day from sunrise until about 13:00, the cave's unique location allows sunlight to reflect in the water to create numerous shades of brilliant blue. If weather permits, you can do a 20 minute boat trip around the caves for an extra fee. You will then drive to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Vibrant, colorful Marsaxlokk Market offers a great opportunity to experience the local life.
